What current investors feel (proud?)
why you keep, how you plan to use
- Target behaviour
- Corpo Buyers buy/retire ecocredits 10-1000x on $regen (maybe what they buy already)
- Individuals feel proud about owning $regen token, being part of the community
- Happening instead
- Ecocredit sales low
- Less buzz and interest than before about offsetting
- New US administration, corpos back off their commitments
- Not people’s priorities
- Acceleration towards eco colapse
- Memecoin participants are more interested in jokes like Fartcoin ($1B)
- People having fun with that
- Worry / Commitment
- Corpos realized that positive PR / green voices became smaller
- Having profit / worry to loose alternative BTC/ETH kind of returns / fear of slow & low returns (10% this week)
- Having fun?
- Key assumptions
- Pride of being part of $regen is the solution?
- A narrative can evolve, when people think about their legacy
- We can make corpobuyers feel proud to hold $Regen, and recognize the reputation that comes with it. Maybe a strong approach could be building a brand narrative around early adoption, highlighting how Regen Network aligned early with the regen ethos and has already built solid infrastructure that others are only now trying to develop. A narrative that brings people because Regen is the lighthouse showing the safe routes.
Max:
- is regen ecocredit?
- can regen work if ecocredits fail?
- ecocredits (RWA) are one of the key ways to finance green transition
- ecocredits demand would grow with climate change struggles & governmental climate regulation
- tokenized ecocredits would be among the most useful tools by 2030 for communities and companies (e.g. NetZero goals)
- a portfolio of well-curated web3 ecocredits would grow in value by 2030 significantly
- a developed web3 ecocredits infrastructure and good governance would increase the value of the ecocredits
Luiz:
- facilitate understanding how regen token work
- this is why it’s an essential part of the network
- how token is essential to regen network, coined the term
- is regen ecocredit? – good point, it isn’t directly backed by ecocredits
- now token is more of a tech/infra position. The people who are interested may be more interested in credits generated. (regen yield ecocredit)
Will
- David, Mark, Gregory worked on naratives on the coin
- Maybe on a call
- Move to RWA category
- Carbon narative
- There’s a need even in the Trump’s world
- River guy – administration cares about rivers (river health ecocredit)
- $regen vs ecocredit – tried to avoid, play different roles (link with burning or issuance?) Fixed Cap, Dynamic Supply Proposal
- treasury owns a bit of each ecocredit on launch, creating a market preassure for $regen
- proud: $regen network is a project that integrated holistic understanding of what regen means with infra and economic platform
Matthew
- Pride is a weak emotion. If your team loses – no pride. Not an emotion, rather a commitment. Committed, Supported, feel seen or reflected or represented. Action. Regen is my future, how I do my work, assert my values, represent my interest.
- What’s happening – blending TA into 1 group. Short sellers, speculators and actual committed people. You need to get out if it’s not your community. Who holds the token and can liquidate big positions. Need to segment them, whale analysis, understanding the segment. What’s wallet behaviour, who make decisions at big validators. Who are those people? Who uses regen, holds and why? only people who need it, currency of community & impact
- KYC? rather behavioural insights ~top1000 wallets – what do they do. Documented understanding of the network state
- Corpo Buyers buy/retire ecocredits 10-1000x → behind this. Proxy for what they are buying already (much easier). Fancy bankers, asset mgmt, Monaco, Davos – try this new thing. Risk averse. Digitize their supply chain? Underwriting, assurance. Large foundations, Charity (should be segmented as different motivation)
- Extrinsically motivated and inartistically (need to know impact and ready to compromise yield). Green premiums, donation ~cohort analysis would be useful.
- $regen is not a financial value proposition, it’s charity. no 8 types of capital – people don’t think in this terms. Rather a washing machine and what’s gonna last. Make change in the world out of my ord life. Return needs to be consistent (no unnecessary risk), transparent
- Maybe think of efficiency, denominate all positive things in $regen – every competitive project. Can give a $ to X fund, how efficiency improves? certainty? better outcomes.
- Do corpos give money? how much money they give? Maybe Dave knows
- No specific worries about $regen honestly, need to compare with existent. Who are competitors other than blockchain. Attention etc. IXO. No more USAID – was it going to ecocredits? ecosystem services, bioeconomies. How to be better than USAID.
- Legacy – brought many investors, Keno investor group, coworker on the board, supported investment decisions. Real investors. Want to see it function and create real value for all parties involved. Investors should and will be the last to eat. The community has to both create value like in Amazon + capture value for the people who contribute (enough for a long time for investor to profit and reinvest again). More change, more efficiently and rapidly to communities around the world. Global protocol for stewarding nature. Believe truly. Proven in small instances. Stuck at scalling. https://cofi.informal.systems/
